Reimbursements
Savon Dental Plan IS NOT an Insurance company and we WILL NOT reimburse ANY member or doctor for any payments listed on the Schedule of Benefits, prescriptions, or for any procedures or fees that are not listed.
Changing Your Provider
To insure your satisfaction with our plan, members may change dental facilities as often as necessary. We do adivse you to remain with your dentist (if at all possible), for as long as you can. Staying with the same dentist usually leads to a higher patient / doctor trust factor which results in better dental health. Members MUST notify Savon Dental Plan that they wish to change dentist and obtain a new membership card. There is no charge to change dental facilities.
Making Appointments
In most cases your temporary membership card will allow you to make an appointment right away. Some doctors require that you be on their roster before they will make an appointment. If you have a problem making an appointment, contact Savon Dental Plan and we will assist you. Permanent cards will be mailed within 2 weeks.
Charges and Payment for Services
Charges and Payment for Services The Schedule of Benefits is computed using an average of fees from a survey of participating and non-participating dentists. Savon's fee schedule does not reflect an actual discount of 50% off every dentists fees as fees vary from dentist to dentist. The 50% discount does not pertain to the Rural Fee Schedule.
All payments listed on the Schedule of Benefits are made directly to the dental office. As treatment is performed, payments are made at each appointment. Savon Dental Plan DOES NOT guarantee that ANY dental office will work out ANY TYPE of payment plan. YOU should discuss all future payments and costs BEFORE new appointments are made or the work is started. The dental office will help you plan your dental treatments and payments.

Canceling Appointments
If you make an appointment and fail to keep it or cancel it 24 hours prior to the appointment, you will be charged a $25.00 missed appointment fee. Once this fee has been charged, you will not be allowed to change dental facilities until it is paid. This fee gets paid to the dental office.

Specialists
Each dental facility has a list of participating specialists. If you use the services of a specialist you will receive a 25% discount off of the Specialist own usual and customary fee. Specialist are not contractually bound to the Savon Schedule of Benefits.
Coverage is limited to professional and geographical areas where there are participating specialists.
Membership Commitment
All applications carry a 30 day risk free money back guarantee from the day the application is submitted. If you visit a Network Preferred Provider and find that you do not realize the savings that we promise according to the Fee Schedule for your State, Savon Dental Plan® will refund your membership fee. Thirty one (31) days after the application is submitted, the application becomes non cancelable and non-refundable. Members agree to stay on the plan for a period of 12 consecutive months except for internet special, then 24 months.
Any check returned by your bank for any reason is subject to a $25.00 return check fee.
After the risk free trial period all fees are considered earned and are not refundable.
Life-Time Membership Rates Guarantee
SAVON DENTAL PLAN® guarantees that the amount of your membership will not change as long as you remain an active member. Lapsed memberships may result in increased rates and/or a minimum reinstatement fee of $25.00 may be charged.
